Meet Our Pastors
Meet Our Senior Pastor

Born and raised in Roanoke, Alabama, Pastor Scott Whaley grew up at Faith Baptist Church, where he later married his wife, Stephanie. He began serving in ministry early, taking on roles such as song leader and associate pastor while raising their first two children, Savannah and Slay.
In 2007, he followed God’s call to pastor another congregation, where he served for seven years, welcomed their third child, Sadie, and earned his Bachelor of Theology.
In 2016, Pastor Scott returned to Faith Baptist as senior pastor. One of the most meaningful parts of that journey was the privilege of pastoring his grandfather and mentor, Otis Hodnett, in his final years.
Under his leadership, God has continued to bless both the church and his family, and Pastor Scott remains committed to leading with humility, love, and unwavering faith.

Meet Our Associate Pastor

Slay Whaley serves as the Associate Pastor and Choir Leader at Faith Baptist Church, where he’s honored to work alongside his dad, Pastor Scott, and follow in his footsteps. With a heart for people and a passion for worship, Slay brings joy, humility, and dedication to every part of his ministry.
He and his wife, Shalyn, are proud parents to their son, Stetson. In just over a year of serving, Slay has already become a vital part of the church leadership—faithfully supporting the work of the ministry and helping lead the next generation in faith and service.
His love for the Lord and the church is evident in all he does, and we’re grateful for the calling God has placed on his life.

Meet Our Camp Pastor

Danny Anglin serves as the Camp Pastor of Vision of Faith Camp, a ministry of Faith Baptist Church. He trusted Christ as his Savior in August of 2003, and surrendered to his call to preach in October of 2017. Over the years, he has spent much of his Christian life working with young people and preaching the Word of God, carrying a deep burden for the next generation.
As Camp Pastor, Danny’s vision is to see the camp grounds renewed and strengthened so they can be used even more effectively for the cause of Christ. His desire is for Vision of Faith Camp to be a place where churches and families can gather, where souls are saved, lives are restored, and believers are encouraged in their walk with the Lord. He longs to see the property set apart as a place of spiritual renewal, where hearts are softened, commitments are made, and lasting change takes place through the preaching of God’s Word. Above all, his goal is that every effort, every improvement, and every service held at the camp would further the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring glory to God.
Danny and his wife, Tiffany, are thankful to serve the Lord together in this ministry. They are blessed with four children — Charity, Avie, Allie, and Cooper — and consider it a privilege to raise their family in service to Christ.

Meet Our Church Treasurer

Scott Brand serves faithfully as Treasurer of Faith Baptist Church and brings his heart for ministry into every role he serves. A gifted gospel singer, Scott has been sharing his musical talent since he was young, performing across the Southeast at churches, gospel concerts, and ministry events. His rich voice and passion for Southern gospel have led him to sing with well‑known groups in the gospel music world, including the Gold City Quartet — where he has served as lead vocalist — as well as appearances with The Perrys, The Inspirational Quartet of Texas, New Ground and The Trammell's.
Scott also leads our cherished annual “Home for Christmas” program each December, a heart‑warming event at Faith Baptist that brings the community together in celebration of the season.
He and his wife Caitlin Brand are blessed with a daughter, Brelynn, and their family is deeply rooted in serving and encouraging others through music, ministry, and genuine fellowship.
